Street Closure, 300 Block of Virginia Avenue

The completion of the utility relocation work that is currently scheduled will allow CSX to close Virginia Avenue between 3rd Street and 4th Street in the near future, for the duration of the project. Based on the best information we have available, we expect to close the 300 block of Virginia Avenue to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic during the week of Nov. 30, following the Thanksgiving holiday. The temporary sidewalks and driveways connecting Capitol Quarters’ entryways to 3rd and 4th Street will be completed before the street is closed, as well as the remaining stockade fence in that block. We will provide additional reminders about the street closure in advance of the work.
